Aren’t you glad we are starting to see Spring actually spring into action? After the cold, frigid winter, the lilies starting to bloom, the cool nip still in the air and that 70-80 degree sun baking into our skin SURE feels good! I would encourage you as you face spring to do a mental sweep through what rubbish may have crept into you through the winter. It was a tough winter to keep your motivation and drive going and one where many may have just felt like curling up in the warmth of your home and in a cocoon until the cold passed. Well, now is the time to stretch your wings and begin to flap them like mad! Dust them off and groom your potential and all that you have shelved for a few month to better give to the world, your family, you community and YES, even to yourself in a way that you have never done so before! This is the opportunity to really reach, even amidst some challenging financial times, and to rally up your human and mental resources to see what you need to do TODAY and tomorrow, to put you on a collision course with success THIS YEAR! We’re not so far into it that you can’t pick up speed in the last 2/3 of it and accomplish all of your goals and dreams.
In talking over the weekend, it reminded me that people will envy that which they do not have yet remain unwilling to do what is necessary to have what they say they want. They will put you down, short cut you, ridicule and tease and say ” I was just kidding” (when they really did mean it until you called them on it), if you indeed try to break out of the mold of the usual, the routine and the mundane. That is why they will ridicule any thoughts you have of great success. If you go out and do it, it means that they also could have done the same thing, yet chose to remain on the couch curled up and cozy. If you decide to reach out and reach high, that they also could do the same thing. But for many, it is easier to make comments and deride those who do, than to do it themselves. Yet they are the first to bemoan someone else’s success and WISH they could only, when they are not willing to. It is the same for those who say “that won’t work” to your creative ideas. So, take heart! Those you feel should be the first to support you will be the last. Those who you expected nothing from, but who sit easily by, will be the first. So, reach out, get out, enjoy the coming spring, complete your mental house cleaning and get ready for a great rest of the year! It will be what you MAKE of it!
