Life is so precious and fleeting…. You never know when your time is done here on earth and ready for your next step. We all come into this world terminal and it is just up to time to take its toll and determine how we will come to our ultimate end. What will we be remembered for? Who will speak at our funeral? How many will attend? Have you ever noticed how sparse, as a general rule, most funerals are? People are spread from side to side of the church or funeral home, intermittently but not packed in like sardines. Don’t you like to think that yours would be different? Wouldn’t you like to think that somehow your life, your end, your experience, would all be different than anything that anyone else has ever experienced? Outside of those who are famous, (Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, etc.), or if your end is somehow violent or traumatic, most of us just fade into the next life with a sigh. We like to think of ourselves burning up the FB links of You Tube videos,  profound statements about our life and the process of leaving once we are gone.  What burns within you yet? What do you want to do that you’ve never done? What is it that you want to say that you’ve never said? What difference do you want to see in the world, in your family, in yourself, that you’ve yet to see?

There are many songs out today about living like you are dying, so I will not be trite and try to build upon that concept. What I want to encourage you to do is to love deeply, contemplate your life seriously, then laugh your ass off and have some fun. Don’t take it all so seriously! Life should be full of joy, laughter and incredible experiences that you will take to your grave, skidding into “home”, all used up and ready for eternity.

May you cherish your life; may you cherish your end; and may the dash in between represent a life well lived and memories far beyond this world.

To Your Ultimate Success!
