I just finished watching this movie and although a BIT exaggerated in the ‘chase scenes’, the theme and acting were, overall, quite good. The moments that made you reflect for a minute, “who would I want to be with if the world were ending?” “Where would I want to be and how would I want to be living my last moments”. Personally I found peace thinking of being in a church, with other believers, waiting for our Maker.
Long ago, I remember thinking it through often; then realizing that the end of the world as we know it is inevitable. Worrying about it, thinking about it, nothing was going to change it. All I could do would be to remain aware and watchful for signs of the end times. We would be remiss in believing that we can survive in this current down turned cycle for much more than another generation. Right? Unless we make a step change upward, we ARE on a downhill spiral as a civilization. Education levels at all time lows. Health levels at an all time low. Motivation, hope and belief, all at an all time low. Unless and until we can again mobilize our nation, with sound basic principles and where the law supports itself, and we support the law because of the principle that it holds within it, the world will come to an end. And even if some aspect of the planet perpetuates itself, what part of that will it be?
Above all, let’s not be as ostritches with our heads in the sand. Remain aware. Look around you. What do you see? What outcome can you imagine? What are you willing to do to change the inevitable course of our nation and our lands? Are you willing to wash a bird? Are you willing to spend time cleaning up an oil spill? Are you willing to support those who are? Can you pray? Can you stay informed and help others to as well? Can you continue to seek the truth and let the truth set you free?
Can you imagine your life as 2012 approaches? Can you imagine the day as we approach it? Can you for a moment think of the life you want to live until then? Live it as though it were true. Live it as though you know the day and that our time here is limited. For it is….
And no one knows the day or time that the Lord will come. So live in joy, love and peace until that day…
