Well, my friends on the journey to ultimate success, it is time to get busy on this Healthcare Reform issue and ask our legislators, if what you are proposing is so good, then why are YOU not going to be on it as well? They want to hold others accountable, fine you if you DON’T buy into a plan, and if you transfer jobs, you join the public option. Yet they want to take and hold captive OUR tax dollars for their personal healthcare plan so that they are NOT on the same plan as everyone else. Is this a democracy or demagogue legislative body? When is enough going to be enough and we, as a people, begin to raise the bar on our expectations of their accountability to us and what WE also deserve as a people? It is past time! When people are not suffering so, it is easy to let things like this just slip by – a special retirement fund, a special health care plan, perks that the average US citizens do not enjoy. When our country is running well and prosperous, maybe they ‘deserve’ that. But during tough economic times, everyone must cut back and become part of the solution, including them. Write your Congress person today and ask them why they deserve different than everyone else in our Nation. You can find your representative and senator under www.house.gov and www.senate.gov – drop them an email and see what they have to say. I always say “if you are not part of the solution, you must be the problem.” I look forward to getting some responses below:
