You often hear “attitude is everything”. Even in a declining economy, this is especially true. The person that crawls into the corner and bemoans their fate and sucks their thumb feels as though they are doing something by groaning. In reality, all they are doing is sealing their fate. When you wait for someone else to do something instead of taking the bull by the horns and doing it yourself, you are sealing your own fate. When you blame others for where you are in life or wait for others to do it first, you will never, I repeat NEVER, be successful at anything. Accept responsibility for where you are in your life. Every choice you have made and that you make daily will bring you to where you are. Lead by example. Do what you expect others to do. Live in a way where you are the example you want others to follow. Be the type of person and leader that you would want to follow. Others will do what you do; not what you tell them to do (including your kids).
