Success...This Exit!

Yes, I do practice what I preach. I also sometimes write about things I have learned and need to implement myself. In keeping with what I wrote yesterday, these are the actions I have taken today to begin tending better to (respect) myself.  I will continue to focus upon these simple steps for the next week until I begin to realize the improvement within my own life. Then I will extend it to my family, friends, and even further into my community that I already do.

The small steps I am ensuring that I do each day are:

  • To eat breakfast before 9:00 am
  • Take a good quality multi-vitamin daily
  • Select and prepare my clothes ahead of “the day of”
  • Plan on leaving an hour before my scheduled appointment so that I arrive early rather than late

My next step is to begin an easy, flexible exercise program to include, walking on the treadmill and playing tennis. I want to introduce golf into my weekly schedule, either practicing my putt or a bucket of balls at the driving range. Then I can incorporate a few short trips on the bicycle and an, at least, weekly dip in the pool. I want to keep it simple, with the goal of having a variety of fun, easy things I can do at least three times per week without feeling as though I am “under” a heavy exercise regime.


What will you change today for you? Start your plan of respecting yourself, your needs, and your body. Small step changes will be much more effective than dramatic overhauls. Stop by the nutrition store, get a new pair of tennis shoes, take five minutes in the morning to jot down your goals for the day and for your future. You will begin to see an incredible shift in your energy level, mental wellbeing and results.
