Wherever you spend the most of your time, attention, focus and energy is your primary priority/priorities. You cannot do, say, or try to convince someone of anything else. If it is important to you, you will think about it, put effort toward it continually, and move in that direction. The sum of your life is the summation of each second/minute/hour you spend doing or thinking something. Even if it is for just a moment or many moments, every thought you put toward something will take you ‘there’, wherever that thought is centered. It’s like driving – wherever you focus, is where you will go. Take your eyes off of the road, even for a minute, and you will end up elsewhere.
Figure out your priorities and then question yourself with every thought, every action, every movement of your mind, eyes and body, “Am I thinking the right things? Am I focusing on the top priorities in my life? Am I moving and taking steps into the right direction or am I off track? Is my thinking off track? Am I where I want to be?” If you are not getting the results you want, check your thinking and figure out first where your thoughts are. They are the direction signals for your life. You cannot give lip service to your goals and dreams, then spend your time, thoughts and involve yourself in other activities and then wonder why you are unhappy. Either change your goals and dreams or change your thoughts which will change your direction and thus your results, and ultimately the level of happiness and joy you have in your life. Every second of your life you are either moving closer to or further away from your goals. Stop for a moment and evaluate where your thoughts and actions are leading you.
